Year 7 to Year 9

Picture

The Year 7, 8 and 9 is centred around Australian Curriculum with emphasis on learning / activities in English, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences. Students also study Design Technologies, The Arts, Health and Physical Education and a Second Language.

Students in Year 7 will, on a weekly basis, be involved in indigenous and local environmental studies where excursions and guest speakers will feature.

After Year 9, our students are offered the 3 level of VCAL - Foundation, then Intermediate, then Senior (Year 12 equivalent). During their VCAL Years, students also elect to complete VET modules of Certificate II in Information Digital, Media and Technology, modules in Certificate III in Community Dance, Theatre and Events, or modules in Certificate II in Kitchen Operations.

After completing Senior VCAL, many students undertake the Certificate IV in Liberal Arts - a pre-university entrance course - for 6 months, then follow a university pathway, leave for employment, or stay with ACE College to complete a Diploma of Community Services.
