It also aims to develop competencies for the workplace where advanced communications skills and a broad general knowledge are assets.

Liberal Arts is a broadly based humanities course, which covers areas such as literature, history, civics, environmental issues and economics as well as communication (including information technology) and study skills. It aims to develop an understanding of some of the major issues and ideas of modern society.
